Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper handling techniques.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging devices (ELD) for accurate mileage and hours of service tracking.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety standards to ensure a clean driving record.
- Keep the truck cab and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the proper endorsements.
- Air Brake endorsement (if applicable to the vehicle type).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and perform physical tasks associated with loading.
