Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in compliance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and secure freight properly to prevent damage and ensure safe transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and maintain logs.
- Deliver freight on time and within the designated service windows while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding status and delays.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance and a clean driving record.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A (or Class B for local positions).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations (e.g., DUI, reckless driving) in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and route planning.
- Physical ability to lift and move cargo, handle loading/unloading duties, and work in various weather conditions.
