Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 tractor-trailers on dedicated regional routes (avg. 250 miles/day)
- Complete pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logs
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while adhering to DOT regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Collaborate with dock teams for efficient loading/unloading procedures
- Utilize GPS technology for optimized routing and on-time performance
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Current DOT medical certification
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Proficient with electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS systems
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service excellence
