Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations safely and efficiently.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and daily delivery records, including bills of lading.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered.
- Represent the company professionally at all times, maintaining a clean driving record.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial truck.
- Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must possess a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle physical tasks associated with cargo handling.
- Strong time management and navigation skills with proficiency in GPS systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required by business needs.
