Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial trucks to transport goods throughout the Northeast and mid-Atlantic regions.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload freight efficiently, ensuring cargo security and proper handling.
- Maintain accurate records using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and delivery logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to resolve delivery issues promptly.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance and minor repairs as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A) with a clean MVR/CDX record.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable truck driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of logbooks, safety regulations, and traffic laws.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic computer literacy for handling paperwork and tracking systems.
