Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers on designated routes throughout the San Francisco metropolitan area.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations.
- Load and unload cargo with precision, ensuring safety and minimizing damage to goods.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging devices (ELD) and daily logs in strict accordance with federal laws.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel regarding delivery schedules and any route changes.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety protocols, and traffic laws at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Must be available to work night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM) consistently.
- Experience with hazardous materials (HazMat) is a plus but not mandatory.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screening.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing manual labor tasks.
