Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently in varying weather and traffic conditions.
- Load and unload cargo with precision and care, securing loads properly.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and necessary paperwork.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience.
- Current DOT Medical Card (Medical Examiner's Certificate).
- Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and criminal background check.
- Ability to pass a road test and pre-employment physical.
- Strong understanding of cargo securement and load handling.
