Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial trucks and trailers on intercity and local routes within Nevada and surrounding states.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling equipment as required.
- Maintain accurate daily logbooks (DOT) and electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Navigate efficiently to meet delivery deadlines while adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Ensure cargo is secured properly and remains within legal weight and size limits.
- Interact professionally with customers and third-party vendors during deliveries.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable truck driving experience within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and possess a current Medical Card.
- Strong knowledge of cargo securement rules and hazardous materials handling (if applicable).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
