Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers on various routes within the region.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently while adhering to weight limits and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging devices (ELD) in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Uphold a professional image and maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle interior and exterior.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT medical card.
- Clean driving record with no serious violations in the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, road conditions, and safety regulations.
