Responsibilities
- Operate commercial tractor-trailers safely and efficiently to deliver freight on time.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment (forklifts, straps, chains).
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and adhere to all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service while interacting with clients and dispatch.
- Uphold a clean driving record and professional appearance at all times.
- Participate in safety meetings and continuous training programs.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Current DOT medical card and DOT drug screen clear.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and motor vehicle record review.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work varying schedules and accommodate freight demands.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor on-the-road troubleshooting.
