Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A tractor-trailers in a safe and efficient manner.
- Load and unload freight safely, ensuring cargo integrity.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, hours of service (HOS), and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any defects.
- Maintain a clean driving record and professional appearance at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and issues.
- Complete all required paperwork and electronic logging device (ELD) entries accurately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no preventable accidents within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a DOT drug screen and background check.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
- Basic mechanical skills for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
