Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently on regional routes within Maryland and surrounding states.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance and safety standards.
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring cargo protection during transit.
- Maintain accurate logs (DOT Qualification Logs) and delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and scheduling.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable truck driving experience.
- Current DOT Medical Card (Medical Examiner's Certificate).
- Pass a background check and drug screen.
- Ability to operate various types of tractor-trailers and handling equipment.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
