Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A CDL) to deliver goods to designated locations in and around the Philadelphia metro area.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to all FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Fulfill customer orders accurately, handling freight with care and maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Manage cargo loading and unloading duties, ensuring weight distribution and securing loads properly.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules, traffic conditions, and potential delays.
- Keep the cab and trailer clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of Pennsylvania.
- A clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT physical) and Drug Screen certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience in a commercial truck.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations, safety protocols, and traffic laws.
- Ability to pass a background check and possess the legal right to work in the United States.
- Basic computer skills for logging and communication purposes.
