Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial trucks on local and regional routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections according to DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo while ensuring the safety and security of the freight.
- Maintain accurate driver logs (ELD) and strictly comply with hours of service rules.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding cargo status and delivery times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) medical requirements (waiver allowed).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Previous experience in truck driving is preferred but not always required (willing to train qualified candidates).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a professional environment.
