Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial tractor-trailers over various road conditions to deliver freight on time.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure 100% compliance with DOT regulations.
- Secure cargo properly using straps, chains, and tarps to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate and legal logbooks (ELD) and daily inspection reports.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Unload freight at delivery locations and obtain proper signatures and proof of delivery.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience preferred.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no DUIs or reckless driving incidents in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and drug screening.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety regulations, and map reading.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and handle weekend or holiday work when necessary.
