Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 semi-trucks for regional routes within Ohio and surrounding states
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic records (ELD compliance)
- Inspect vehicles pre/post-trip to ensure DOT compliance and safety standards
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for efficient route optimization and on-time deliveries
- Handle specialized freight including temperature-controlled and hazardous materials
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Participate in continuous safety training and performance evaluations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and HOS requirements
- Strong navigation skills using GPS and route planning software
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- hazmat endorsement preferred
