Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 tractor-trailers on regional routes within 200 miles of DC
- Load/unload freight with precision and maintain proper weight distribution
- Complete thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain electronic logs (ELD)
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and DOT compliance standards
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery and pickup operations
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization
- Document all deliveries and maintain accurate paperwork
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years OTR or regional driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficient in using ELD systems and route navigation technology
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of DC/MD/VA road networks and regulations
