Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (53' dry van reefers) on multi-state routes
- Adhere to DOT regulations and perform thorough pre/post-trip inspections
- Plan efficient routes while maintaining strict delivery deadlines
- Document freight accurately and maintain electronic logs
- Communicate with dispatch and customers professionally
- Collaborate with dock teams for timely loading/unloading
- Represent Swift with exceptional customer service standards
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year tractor-trailer experience or recent CDL graduate
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Flexibility for overnight travel and weekend deliveries
- Basic familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong navigation skills and route planning abilities
