Responsibilities
- Operate commercial tractor-trailers and delivery vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement according to safety standards.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily vehicle inspection reports (DVIR).
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, company policies, and traffic laws.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and route changes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Uphold a professional image and represent the company positively at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Clean driving record with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of GPS navigation and logistics planning.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing duties in various weather conditions.
