Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers in accordance with all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Load and unload cargo safely using dock plates, straps, and chains.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and electronic dispatch paperwork.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean driving record.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Keep the truck cabin and cargo area organized and presentable.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class A) required.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle physical tasks associated with cargo handling.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts including nights and weekends if necessary.
