Responsibilities
- Operate commercial tractor-trailers safely and efficiently to meet strict delivery schedules.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety and DOT compliance.
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Complete all required paperwork, including electronic logging devices (ELD) logs and delivery receipts.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and federal regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable experience driving tractor-trailers.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT compliant).
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no serious violations in the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and criminal background check.
- Strong mechanical aptitude for basic vehicle troubleshooting.
