Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring cargo is secure and protected from damage.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and daily inspection reports (DVIR) to ensure compliance.
- Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery deadlines and minimize fuel consumption.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding schedules and delivery issues.
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify potential mechanical issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable OTR or local driving experience.
- Current Medical Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Clean driving record with no DUIs or major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws and safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
