Responsibilities
- Operate Class A tractor-trailers safely and legally on interstate and local highways.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance.
- Load and secure freight accurately to prevent damage and ensure safety.
- Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records at all times.
- Deliver freight to customers in Michigan and Ohio with a focus on on-time performance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and criminal background check.
- Eligible to work in the United States of America.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.
- Basic computer skills for logging and paperwork.
