Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A tractor-trailers to transport freight safely and efficiently across regional routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle and cargo safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring weight distribution is correct.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and schedule changes.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or safety incidents immediately.
- Uphold a professional image and demonstrate defensive driving techniques at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Willingness to submit to a drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, safety protocols, and traffic laws.
- Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with endorsements (Tanker/Hazmat preferred but not required).
