Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 8 tractor-trailer for regional routes within Colorado and surrounding states
- Load/unload freight using pallet jacks and forklifts (training provided)
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging device (ELD) compliance
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
- Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and potential delays
- Adhere to DOT regulations and Mountain Express's safety protocols
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient loading/unloading processes
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years of over-the-road trucking experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with ELDs and basic freight handling procedures
- Strong time management and route navigation skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly during loading/unloading
- Flexibility to work early mornings, nights, and occasional weekends
- Basic knowledge of Colorado roadways and mountain driving conditions
