Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight across Massachusetts and New England
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT logs
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation to meet delivery deadlines
- Load/unload cargo with proper securing techniques per FMCSA standards
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status and updates
- Adhere to all federal/state regulations and company safety protocols
- Complete required paperwork and maintain electronic records
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or B license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass background check and DOT physical
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Familiarity with Boston metro area and New England routes
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
