Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) on regional routes throughout North Carolina and Florida.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring safety and accuracy.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is road-ready.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Keep the tractor and trailer clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (Medical Card).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and a criminal background check.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations, hours of service (HOS), and logbook compliance.
- Willingness to travel to Florida and North Carolina as needed.
- Professional attitude and excellent customer service skills.
