Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) to transport goods safely and efficiently on local routes in and around the Boston metro area.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies at all times.
- Inspect the truck, cargo, and trailer before and after each trip to ensure mechanical integrity and security.
- Manage paperwork, including delivery receipts, bills of lading, and logs, accurately and on time.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Maintain a clean and professional driving record.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A) required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable truck driving experience (local preferred).
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of pre-trip and post-trip inspection procedures.
- Excellent time management and customer service skills.
