Job Summary
As a Truck Driver at Atlas Logistics, you will be responsible for transporting cargo safely and efficiently across the United States. We pride ourselves on our on-time delivery record and maintaining a culture of safety on the road.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A) in a professional and courteous manner.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (ELD) and adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in safe operating condition.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Uphold the company's high standards of safety and customer service at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A) required. (Willingness to obtain one with paid training available for qualified applicants).
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no more than two preventable accidents in the last three years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn the logistics industry.
- Basic mechanical knowledge is preferred but not required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
