Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks on local and over-the-road routes throughout New York and surrounding regions.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual labor as required.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to all DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A issued in the United States.
- Minimum 1 year of driving experience preferred, but we are willing to train entry level candidates with a strong work ethic.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3 years (MVR required).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Basic math skills and the ability to read maps and GPS systems.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
