Responsibilities
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.
- Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and handling equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logs.
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while adhering to all traffic laws and schedules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Clean background history with no DUIs or major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination (medical card).
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
