Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 tractor-trailers on overnight routes between Texas and Illinois
- Pre-trip/post-trip inspections and accurate logging via ELD
- Load/unload verification with documentation management
- Maintain strict adherence to DOT regulations and HOS
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding delays or issues
- Operate in all weather conditions while prioritizing safety
- Collaborate with warehouse teams for efficient transitions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year OTR or regional experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts (6 PM - 6 AM)
- Basic familiarity with electronic logging devices
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Strong attention to detail and route navigation skills
- Willingness to cross state lines (TX/IL routes)
