Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers safely and efficiently on various routes.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Secure cargo according to load planning guidelines to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD/DSO) and adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Unload freight at delivery locations using appropriate equipment.
- Uphold a professional image and represent Premier Logistics with integrity.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A) required.
- Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) must be valid.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must possess a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
