Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A) safely and efficiently on all road types.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections according to DOT regulations.
- Load and unload freight accurately and securely.
- Maintain accurate Driver's Daily Logs (DD-1300) and electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding cargo status.
- Ensure the cargo compartment remains clean and secure throughout the delivery process.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A) issued by the state of Georgia.
- Current Medical Card (DOT compliant).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor vehicle adjustments.
