Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) safely and efficiently over assigned routes.
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Secure cargo according to safety guidelines and load specifications.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading and unloading processes.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delays or route changes.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A (or B for local) with a clean driving record.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Willingness to work night shifts and weekends as required.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to perform minor vehicle checks.
- Ability to lift and carry cargo, including boxes and equipment, weighing up to 50 lbs.
