Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A) in strict compliance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of freight while maintaining the highest standards of customer service.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and document findings accurately.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring weight distribution and safety.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and maintain the vehicle in a clean, presentable condition.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper seatbelt usage and speed management.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and other team members regarding route changes and delivery updates.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean MVR record (no DUI in the last 7 years).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience (preferred).
- 21 years of age or older.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Willingness to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in various weather conditions.
- Basic mechanical knowledge of truck systems is a plus.
