Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A vehicles in a safe, legal, and professional manner at all times.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads according to safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate daily electronic logs (ELD) and complete vehicle inspection reports (DVIR) before and after every shift.
- Adhere strictly to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck remains roadworthy.
- Uphold the company's high standards of customer service and safety culture.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience within the last 3 years.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no more than 3 preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Pass DOT physical examination and submit to a pre-employment drug screen.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required.
- Strong knowledge of interstate and intrastate traffic laws and regulations.
