Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers in a safe, legal, and professional manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo accurately, ensuring cargo security and proper documentation.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and manage delivery schedules to meet customer deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding route changes or delays.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company policies regarding driving hours and safety.
- Maintain the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class A) issued by the state.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience (preferably regional or local).
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) and DOT medical card.
- Clean driving record (no more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years).
- Ability to pass a DOT drug screen and background check.
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service excellence.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging devices (ELD).
