Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A vehicles safely and efficiently over designated routes.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of freight while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck and trailer are in safe operating condition.
- Document hours of service (HOS) accurately using electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Load and unload freight, ensuring cargo is secured properly to prevent damage.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance while representing the company brand.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class A) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience (Class A preferred).
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety compliance standards.
- Basic math skills for cargo documentation and trip planning.
- Willingness to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
