Responsibilities
- Operate commercial tractor-trailers safely and efficiently on regional and long-haul routes.
- Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of freight while adhering to all traffic laws.
- Perform comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain safety standards.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and mileage logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and route changes.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper handling equipment.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety regulations, and DOT requirements.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of Virginia.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience within the last 3 years.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT medical card.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no preventable accidents or major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
