Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) in accordance with all federal, state, and local traffic laws.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment (hand trucks, pallet jacks) to ensure product safety.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and document findings accurately in the DVIR.
- Plan efficient routes and adhere to delivery schedules to meet customer expectations.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance of the vehicle and company uniform.
- Practice defensive driving techniques to ensure the safety of yourself, your cargo, and the public.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery status and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 3 minor violations in the last 3 years.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging devices (ELD) and navigation systems.
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
