Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) in a professional and timely manner.
- Load and unload cargo safely using proper equipment (forklift, pallet jack, etc.).
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and adhere to all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Deliver freight to designated locations while maintaining a clean driving record.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and delays.
- Report any mechanical issues or road hazards immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A) with a clean driving record (no major violations within the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety regulations, and cargo securement procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and time management abilities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
