Responsibilities
- Operate commercial tractor-trailers and straight trucks to deliver freight to designated customer locations efficiently and safely.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and company standards.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and adhere to all traffic laws and company driving policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to resolve delivery issues and update status.
- Keep the vehicle clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with a clean driving record (no more than 3 preventable accidents in the last 3 years).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical exam and drug screening.
- Experience with hazardous materials (HazMat) preferred but not required.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently during night shifts.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading.
