Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers safely and efficiently over assigned routes.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring all freight is secured and protected during transit.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service by delivering freight on time and in good condition.
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance checks, such as checking tire pressure and fluid levels.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current DOT Medical Card (Medical Examiner's Certificate).
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of road maps and geographic areas.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for vehicle maintenance.
