Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) to transport freight to designated destinations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Document cargo status, location, and times of pickup and delivery using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD).
- Load and unload trailers, ensuring cargo is secured and protected.
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B with the appropriate endorsements.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a DOT drug screen and background check.
- Flexibility to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) with available shift hours.
- Strong understanding of cargo securement and DOT compliance standards.
