Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A and Class B commercial vehicles on local and regional routes within Boston and surrounding areas.
- Load and unload cargo accurately and securely, ensuring compliance with weight and balance regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and paperwork, including bills of lading and delivery receipts.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, shippers, and receivers to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR check required).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA safety regulations.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and paperwork purposes.
- Willingness to work varying shifts and travel regionally as needed.
