Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers in a professional and courteous manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper equipment, adhering to weight limits and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (ELD) and delivery documentation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the vehicle interior and exterior.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current DOT medical card and DOT drug screen eligibility.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience preferred (hazmat or tanker experience a plus).
- Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet tight delivery deadlines.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and operating various loading equipment.
