Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) to deliver freight safely and on schedule.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and handling of goods to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records and adhere to all FMCSA regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with consignees and shippers.
- Report any vehicle issues or road hazards immediately to fleet management.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Clean driving record with no DUIs or major moving violations within the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in the last 7 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screening.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel to various locations, including Florida routes.
