Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) in a safe and professional manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Load and unload cargo accurately and securely, using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Complete all required paperwork, including delivery receipts, bills of lading, and logbooks, in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain a clean and presentable driving environment and vehicle interior.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to resolve any delivery issues or delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required (no experience necessary for Class B, some experience preferred for Class A).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screening.
- Must possess a clean driving record with no more than two preventable accidents in the last three years.
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service.
- Basic math skills for weight and distance calculations.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
