Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain a box truck (24-26ft) for freight transport
- Plan efficient routes and manage delivery timelines
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and document maintenance
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards
- Manage documentation (bills of lading, logs, etc.)
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement
- Minimum 1 year box truck or heavy truck experience
- Clean MVR (no major violations in 3 years)
- Current DOT medical certification
- Reliable box truck (24-26ft) in good condition
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor repairs
- Smartphone with reliable data/internet access
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
